Shannon Murphy

Shannon Murphy is an award-winning theatre, TV and film director. She recently shot and EP’d ‘Dying For Sex’, starring Michelle Williams for FX, including the pilot episode. She also directed and EP’d the opening block of Polly Stenham’s ‘Dope Girls’ for BBC.

Shannon’s first feature film ‘Babyteeth’ premiered at the Venice Film Festival, where it was nominated for Best Film. ‘Babyteeth’ won 9 AACTA Awards including Best Director and Best Film, was nominated for Best International Film at the BIFAS, and saw Shannon receive a BAFTA nomination for Best Director.

Her advertising debut “lastlonelymenopause” for TENA was hailed as one of Campaign’s Top 15 Commercials, and earned Shannon a place on their coveted annual Top 10 Director List.

Shannon directed two episodes of ‘Killing Eve’ for BBC America, a block of ‘The Power’ for Amazon, and an episode of the award-winning comedy ‘Dave’ for FX. She is currently developing multiple feature projects.
